Greetings Slickdealers,
Last year, we implemented a minimum 1,000+ store rating requirement for deals sold by Amazon third-party sellers. The goal of this requirement was to find a balance between allowing some third-party seller deals to appear on Slickdeals, while also protecting our users by maintaining a requirement that deals come from relatively reputable merchants. Lately however, we have seen that threshold gamed and abused, with many low quality deals posted to our forums. We noticed, by using some tools like Fakespot, many of these deals had dubious reviews - sometimes up to 90% of the reviews for a product were deemed suspicious.
Because of this, we are revising the guidelines for products sold by Amazon third-party sellers:Must have a minimum 1,000+ store rating.
The product for sale must have at least 50 reviews.
At least 80% of those reviews must be deemed of acceptable quality through a tool like Fakespot (http://www.fakespot.com?).These guidelines go into effect immediately for all deals posted moving forward.?
Moderators are going to remove deals that do not meet these requirements. *Note that sometimes, our deal editor's might make exceptions to these rules based on whether or not we feel comfortable trusting a merchant.
No Self-Promotion / Merchants Posted Deals
Please keep in mind that self-promotion rules are still in effect, so business owners, employees, or agencies should please refrain from posting and voting on their own deals. Rather, we encourage you to message a moderator or staff member to learn about other ways of working together with Slickdeals.
We are always looking to improve our community experience and we will evaluate if these guidelines address the issues in the coming months. If you have any questions or feedback, please chime in below.

**Due to the inconsistency of Fakespot we will no longer be using it in regard to the deals posted in the forums.
But as always we look at the quality of user reviews before selecting for FP. ~ Schooby**
